KINGDOM WORK
OUTREACH
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward.
It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
Colossians 3:23-24
Doing Kingdom Work...what exactly is Kingdom Work?
It’s using your gifts, talents and abilities in service to God’s Kingdom. It’s looking intentionally, every day, for moments in which to bring glory to God.
Many of our sisters at Women in the Word Ministry are serving Christ by serving others. As a stand alone community ministry, we represent over 20 different churches in our area; many of our women participate in outreach and missions from their churches and their communities.
What better way to support our sisters than to support their service in Christ to their community and to the whole world. Below is an ongoing list of ways you can support your sisters or opportunities to serve yourself. As always, your prayer support for our sisters is needed and appreciated! Prayerfully consider supporting your Sisters in Christ!
IAMFreedomGirl
The vision of walking women out of oppression and into freedom was given to our founder Joyce Kelly over 11 years ago. She thought this mission would send her out around the world, not knowing the mission field was in her own back yard. Once a month the IAMFreedomGirl team goes into some of the darkest places in our city to bring light and the hope of Jesus Christ to women who need to know they are seen, loved and valued right where they are. Through consistency and love our team builds trust, relationships and invitations to the women in hopes they will walk out of the darkness and into the life God has for each one of them.
Items to donate: full size body lotion, full size body wash and jarred candles.
Donations can be made weekly at WIWM gatherings. There will be a collection bin labeled where donations can be left.

ARK is a program designed to allow students of all ages to learn to handle animals. The basics of good training are applied; consistency, patience, positive reinforcement, reward, and the self esteem gained by the ability to maintain an obedient partnership with the animal. Once students have become proficient in training the animals, they become volunteers who then train new students.
Since a large part of training is repetition or practice, all volunteers are working to make the animals obedient so that even students with special needs can have success with the animals. We offer classes for volunteer training, community service and Bright Futures Scholarship hours.
