Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward.
It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
Doing Kingdom Work...what exactly is Kingdom Work?
It’s using your gifts, talents and abilities in service to God’s Kingdom. It’s looking intentionally, every day, for moments in which to bring glory to God.
Many of our sisters at Women in the Word Ministry are serving Christ by serving others. As a stand alone community ministry, we represent over 20 different churches in our area; many of our women participate in outreach and missions from their churches and their communities.
What better way to support our sisters than to support their service in Christ to their community and to the whole world. Below is an ongoing list of ways you can support your sisters or opportunities to serve yourself. As always, your prayer support for our sisters is needed and appreciated! Prayerfully consider supporting your Sisters in Christ!
Kitchen Renovation for Michelle, Marilee & Louna Hosley
My friend and single mom, Michelle Hosley, adopted two girls from New Life Children’s Home Orphanage in Haiti. Last year, Renee Plaza, her husband Bill, and myself started asking our friends to help purchase a handicapped accessible van for their mother, Michelle Hosley to drive. Many from Women in the Word donated and we are thankful. So this is a continuation of that journey to independence for the girls.
Marilee and Louna are wheelchair bound and are growing into young women. The current kitchen situation is galley style and leaves no room for wheelchair accessibility. The vision of this project is to provide a flow thru kitchen that they can move through freely in their wheelchairs with the ability to move around an island, increasing their life skills. There will be an island with an eating area that they can pull their wheelchairs right up to with room for growth. They will be able to get to the refrigerator and freely open it. Get close to the stove, sink and dishwasher and even get dishes out for themselves. Since we are aware of the current struggles they have providing for themselves in the kitchen today, we are prayerful that we can make a difference in their lives again. How exciting would it be to watch them grow in their independence because of this change!
It would be so beautiful for people to come along side Michelle and the girls a second time and provide for this need.
If you can donate, these are the links or you can connect with Renee or myself at Bible study or anytime for check or cash.
Blessings and Thank you for your consideration.
Animals Reaching Kids
Sharing the Lord’s unconditional love.

ARK is a program designed to allow students of all ages to learn to handle animals. The basics of good training are applied; consistency, patience, positive reinforcement, reward, and the self esteem gained by the ability to maintain an obedient partnership with the animal. Once students have become proficient in training the animals, they become volunteers who then train new students.
Since a large part of training is repetition or practice, all volunteers are working to make the animals obedient so that even students with special needs can have success with the animals. We offer classes for volunteer training, community service and Bright Futures Scholarship hours.
